Occassionally yachts are labeled as "Work-In-Progress" to highlight yachts that are, or will be, refurbished, repainted, repaired, or renewed to the
extent often quoted as "better than new."
Classical yachters, and you know who you are, will find years of enjoyment and a degree of economy with these fine "ladies."
We love the classic yachts. The very reason they remain in service over the years is that owners believe they are better than the others.
Their construction has withstood the test of time, they perform well and obviously they have been lavished with love. Often, the owners have developed emotional attachments which becomes obvious considering the extent of luxuries and unbelievable continual upgrades installed over the years.
In some instances the work-in-progress has already been completed and the yachts stand "bristol," bright and ready. In other cases, minor updates may be scheduled at the partners' convenience.
Often the work is merely new carpeting and draperies or furniture and furnishings.
Occasionally, there is nothing required other than a good cleaning.
The yacht will no doubt offer a particular personality or uniqueness in design
or construction that is worthy of our respect and will come from a distinguished
lineage including Feadship, Burger, Benetti, or lately, Palmer Johnson. Of late,
these classic yachts are no longer being built in this size range by these builders
and may be considered as irreplaceable.
